ON BEHALF OF 24TH INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION DAY AS PARTNERS WE DECIDED TO CARRY OUT A SURVEY. WE AIMED TO VIEW THE RESULTS OF OUR ONLINE EDUCATION PROCESS. FROM PARTNER SCHOOLS 364 STUDENTS PARTCIPATED OUR SURVEY TOTALLY.
Let's see the details;
*65.7 percent of the participants were girls and 34.3 percent of them were boys.We can say that girls are more sensetive about doing the tasks like this.
*42.4 of the students were 9th grade,33.1 of them were 10th grade ,14.6 of them,were 12th grade and 9.8 percent of the students were 11th grrades.
*88.9 of the participants were from Turkey, 11.1 percent of them were from Azerbaijan.
*48.5 percent of the students participated classes with their mobile phones, 44.4 of them with computer and about % 5 of them with their tablets. A few of them joined with both their mobiles and computers.
*It is very large amount that 92.2 percent of the students connected to the internet with wi-fi and 7.8 percent of them with mobile phone.
* % 74.5 of the students said that they sometimes had internet connection problems, on the other hand 18.4 percent of them said that they never had internet problems.Lastly %7.1 said that they always had connection problem.
*It is very good that 57.8 percent of the participants joined the classes regularly and eagerly, 39.6 of them sometimes participated reguarly and eagerly but unfortunately % 2.5 of them said 'never'.
* % 61.1 of them stated that they participated the lessons but we wanted to see the reasons of the students who did't.Here are the results; 21.2 of them had internet problems,11.1 percent of them didn't want to join, % 1.8 had family problems, very few of them says that they had health prblems, one of the students says that he couldn't not wake up on time.
*52.3 percent of the srudents said that they partly took advantage of this online education, % 26.5 agree that they took advantage of this period but %21.2 of them couldn't do this.
*We asked how they took advantage of this term. According to their answers; 28.5 of them had much more time to study their lessons, % 19.2 had enough time to have a rest,it is good to see that 16.4 of them started a new hobby,11.6 of them read much more time to read books,9.6 percents of them said they had enough time to spend with their family, % 9.1 could focus on their learning problems and finally the rest of them said that it wasn't an advantageous term and they understood the value and the importance of the face to face education.
*We asked whether they could reach their teachers easily in this period and saw that %55.8 of them could reach their teachers easily, 37.1 of them partly agree with this, however 7.1 of them couldn't reach their teachers easily.
*On the other hand we inquired them to state their opinions about if they were comfortable and asked their questions when they didn't understand the topic they graded their answers like this;
14.1 = 5*, 24.2=4* , 35.4=3* , 14.6 =2*, 11.6 = 1*
*We also wondered the role of the school managements.60.4 percent of the students stated that the school management were so helpful,31.3 of them partly agreed with this opinion while %8.3 of them disagree with this.
*Finally we asked the most important question; whether they prefer online education to face to face education . 57.6 of them prefered face to face education, 21 percent of them partly agree with this idea and % 21.5 of them said that they prefered online education to face to face education.
